As far as possible, it is in plain English and sacrifices precision for clarity.   Regard the information in this glossary as indicative only.  In particular, it may not be suitable for you if

• you and your partner are not Australian residents and Australian taxpayers, 
• you are still working beyond pension age,   
• you exceed your reasonable benefit limit (RBL) or
• you started work for superannuation purposes before July 1983.
